📒Out Of Season ✍ Robert Bausch
📝Out of Season Book Synopsis : Sorrow is David Caldwell's daily companion. Nine years ago, his eleven year old son, Todd, killed his baby brother in an incident that was never fully explained, never quite forgotten. David hasn't seen Todd since he was released from Juvenile prison two years ago. Now David wants to bring what's left of his family together again. He arranges to meet Todd while on a temporary assignment as Sheriff of Columbia Beach, the fading resort town where the family used to vacation. But Columbia Beach has troubles of its own. Cecil Edwards, a giant of a man, holds the town in his bullying grip. And a mysterious young woman, Lindsay Hunter, is quietly slipping into Cecil's life and raising the town's suspicions. During the chilly months of the off-season, these four lives will intersect in ways both tender and violent. Old wounds are exposed, broken hearts mended, and a new family created. With the intensity of a Shakespearean tragedy, Robert Bausch draws on the heartbreak of loss and the power of redemption like no other writer.

📒Out Of Season ✍ Rev. James M. Munyi
📝Out of Season Book Synopsis : One of the aspects of my professional practice and which I have truly owned and enjoyed is writing daily reflections for my coworkers. Herein are assorted reflective subjects to encourage identity focus and meaningmaking in places where we are placed for Kingdom representation. Kingdom citizens must carry their identity wherever they are placed, particularly in the workplace. On the afternoon of Wednesday, the 23rd of May 1973, a Kingdom citizen, Justus Mbulikhe, introduced me to King Jesus because he carried his Kingdom identity with him. This fits well with our Kingdom witness, our new identity in Christ Jesus as Christian believers. St. Paul, quoting Aratus the Greek poet, puts it beautifully: For in him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28). As a professional chaplain in a hospital context, I help patients, families, and staff discover, utilize, and draw from their own spiritual reservoirs. As I offer compassionate presence, I am sensitively careful to respect individuals spiritual state. And while I have no personal agenda, I allow my Kingdom identity to speak for itself. I hope that these reflections will nurture the readers spirit as they have nurtured mine.

📒Black Baseball Out Of Season ✍ William F. McNeil
📝Black Baseball Out of Season Book Synopsis : Negro League ballplayers, earning paychecks comparable to those of blue-collar workers, needed an off-season source of income to make ends meet. Many of them found the answer in baseball, by joining racially integrated barnstorming teams that toured the country after the regular season ended, or by playing in the organized winter leagues that operated in Florida, California, and several Caribbean and Central and South American countries. This history recounts the experiences of American black ballplayers outside of the Negro Leagues—often in places where a lack of prejudice contrasted sharply with conditions at home. Tracing the development of the game in each location and the unique character of each winter league, it details the contributions of the Negro League players and collects their statistics in each of the winter leagues.

📒Thoughts Out Of Season ✍ Mark Pucci
📝Thoughts Out of Season Book Synopsis : Thoughts is primarily an adventure and romantic investigation into what itmeans to be a rugged and unsatisfied young writer in modern America. It isactually just what the title suggests - the distancing of thoughts fromthose that do not adhere to the modern climate in America which have helpedestablish a mood of social boredom, alienation and a basic distancing ofourselves from life. These are all thoughts that affect the poet; thoughtsof love, nature, questioning, flight and revolt. This is a book whichdistinctly comes from the American tradition of writers. From such writersas Kerouac and Henry Miller to Thoreau, Twain and Whitman, this is a bookwhich seeks to get back to the literary roots which make American writersdistinct in their search for beauty and wisdom. The sharp contrast of thejoyous writer who desires to become an artist is almost diametricallyopposed to the spirit which pervades a defeated America. In the Americantradition of writing, we could easily define this as a book searching to getback to those elements of life that give us our supreme joys. A book wherestaring into the night sky can inspire an incredulous journey.
