📒Contemporary Jewish Writing In Austria ✍ Dagmar C. G. Lorenz
📝Contemporary Jewish Writing in Austria Book Synopsis : Devoted to collecting the finest Jewish writing from around the world, the Jewish Writing in the Contemporary World series consists of anthologies, by country, that are designed to present to the English-speaking world authors and works deserving international consideration. As a series, the books permit a broad examination of the international crosscurrents in Jewish thought and culture.øContemporary Jewish Writing in Austria presents a gathering of writers from several generations who have published a remarkable range of works in recent decades. The result is a diverse portrait of Jewish experience in Austria since the Second World War. Dagmar C. G. Lorenz has assembled an extraordinary roster of literary talents, ranging from authors born in the early decades of this century to writers born after the Shoah. The volume maps a complex tradition of Jewish discourse marked by a profound awareness of the literary past, by the failure of a long-anticipated Austrian-Jewish symbiosis, and by the unparalleled tragedy of the Shoah. It is a modern tradition that has made an essential contribution to Austria?s literary history while remaining, in Lorenz?s words, "distinct and unassimilated."
📒The Royal Law Of Liberty ✍ Darwin Chandler
📝The Royal Law of Liberty Book Synopsis : This book is a frontal assault on all law based, obedience oriented religion. Most Christians carry a load of spiritual bondage, condemnation, guilt and shame. Some are deeply despondent and depressed because this load is too heavy for them to bear. Few Christians are truly confident in their personal relationship with God. This situation exists because: 1) Christians are generally unable to distinguish between actual sin versus mere human opinion about sin; 2) Christians do not understand that Jesus set them free from obedience based religion; 3) Christians do not know how to decide for themselves what is truly moral; 4) Christians have no real experience of "Christian Liberty." These issues are examined in sufficient detail to enable one to understand the radical nature of the "freedom for which Christ set us free," (Gal. 5:1). The author's goal is to destroy the roots of religious legalism so Christian believers can live the life of freedom which is their spiritual "blood-right." Beginning with a development of the "Master Key" to Biblical morality, the nature and implications of Christ's "Law of Love" are thoroughly explored. Next, the author discusses the true nature of morality, answering the question, "What exactly makes a thing sinful?" Careful attention is given to the concept of "defilement" or "uncleanness," with a bold look at Paul's revolutionary statement that "nothing is unclean of itself," (Rom. 14:14, 20). In Part Three, Legalism is exposed in all its ugliness. This section details the Biblical method for determining what is truly sin, and what is merely human opinion. Part Four destroys the bitter root of Legalism with persistent emphasis on the fact that Jesus Christ ended the rule of law by His life, death and resurrection. Part Five looks at the theology of Galatians, the Christian's "Emancipation Proclamation," closing with pointed illustration of how this all affects a Christian's liberty to exercise personal choice in what (s)he will or won't do. Five appendices explore several specific issues raised by the preceding study. These include: Conclusions About Christian Liberty "Contradictory" Scriptures? Christian Liberty and Sexual Issues The Necessity Of Experiencing Freedom The Non-Negotiables of Bible Study This is the only book on Christian Freedom written by an ex Fundamentalist. The author was raised in an atmosphere of extreme legalism. The first half of his Christian ministry was spent preaching, defending and even debating the concepts that he now seeks to destroy. The author lived in legalism forty years. He understands legalism. He therefore knows how to attack its vulnerable spots. His goal was not to write a book, but to give to anyone who is interested, information that will set them free from bondage to legalism and open the pathway to self-government under the rule of love. 📒Unyoked ✍ Edie Jean Burnside-Edwards
📝Unyoked Book Synopsis : This book is an extension to my first book "Below the Line" published 2007. This book "Unyoked" will give spiritual information to those who really want to know how to withstand and unequally yoked marriage, how to make their marriage work. I believe the Heavenly Father gave me spiritual information and a message for anyone who has married an unequally yoked mate. Sometimes we may find ourselves unyoked in marriages. We find ourselves asking God to forgive us for making bad choices. While it may be true, being married to an unequally yoked spouse may force one to divorce court because of emotional or physical abuse. The Bible gives us a guideline as to how to prevent divorce. This book will offer you spiritual information with scriptures to mediate on daily. In addition, you will read how to stay married to an unequally yoked mate with God's help. Focus studying your Bible and learn how to follow God's principles. This requires work. My message in this book is that we must watch God's plan completed through man and woman of one flesh. God uses us through our trials and tribulations. These trials and tribulations are only temporary. Learn how to develop unconditional love for each other in spite of unequally yoked marriages. I have experienced being married to an unequally yoked mate and it is not easy. I have spent many hours searching the Holy Scriptures for guidance. I have spoken with other couples who are or have experience this most dangerous journey in their marriages. My day-by-day experiences were very rewarding because I know now that God still loves me even after I disobeyed Him and married someone who is unyoked. I pray that my message from this book encourage others. Remember there is a blessing in all that God has permitted in our lives. He is all-knowing God. He knew what was going to transpire in our lives even before we were born. Try to be yoke and not unyoked. God Bless
